Water Systems Optimization, Inc. of America, the group’s US subsidiary was formed in 2002 and Water Systems Optimisation (PNG) Limited (formerly Bristol Water Services (PNG) Limited) was formed in 2003. Both companies were originally owned by Bristol Water Services Limited of UK — the international consulting arm of the Bristol Water group, one of the UK’s largest independent public water suppliers.
The group in its current form was established by the acquisition of WSO USA and WSO PNG by Waterframe Limited of UK in May 2005. The group is headed by Stephen Preston, the former Managing Director of Bristol Water Services Limited.
The recent change of name of the PNG subsidiary to Water Systems Optimisation (PNG) Limited reinforces the group’s strategy of acting as a single corporate body across all business units, regardless of geographical location.
Although the group has only been established for a few years, it has already established a reputation for being a leader in the field of non-revenue water and has proven ability as both a consultant providing reporting and advisory services and as a contractor in delivering measurable savings in water losses. This success is largely due to our employees who bring many years of experience to the company.
