Return to top WSO continues its long standing relationship with Nashville Metro Water Services by once again being selected to carry out the City's water audit contract for 2008.
WSO had to fight off strong competition for the contract but, as Vice-President Paul Johnson noted, "We strongly believe in our ability to deliver the best water audit consultancy service in the country - and at a price that offers unbeatable value for money for our clients".
Return to top WSO has been awarded a contract to provide consultancy services for the City of Phoenix Water Service Department's Water Loss Management Program.
WSO carried out the City's previous water audit in 2004. This resulted in the identification of a significant revenue loss associated with a particular type of customer meter which the City was using. A subsequent program by the City to replace these meters resulted in a revenue increase.
WSO is excited to have been selected by the City of Phoenix to carry out this contract.
Return to top WSO has been awarded a contract to provide Technical Assistance for the Philadelphia Water Department's Long-Term Water and Revenue Loss.
WSO had been providing Technical Assistance to PWD for the past 4 years and the contract had to be re-bid in 2007 to satisfy local contract rules. WSO is excited to have been chosen once again to provide ongoing technical support to PWD on this prestigiuous long term program. The award cements WSO's position as the leading water loss control company in North America.

Contact WSO now for more details on how your utility can prepare itself for the new legislation. Also see our Tennessee newsletter.

Both papers are on Tuesday, September 19 in the Trends and Developments in Water Loss Control session.
Return to top WSO’s Papua New Guinea based subsidiary has successfully completed the implementation phase of the Port Moresby NRW Reduction Project (Phase 2) in Port Moresby, PNG. The project was carried out by Bristol-JCV, a joint venture between WSO and JC-KRTA Consulting Group of Malaysia.
Over a 30 month period from February 2004 to July 2006, the total demand for the city of Port Moresby has been reduced from its peak of around 170 million litres per day (46 million gallons per day) by more than 34 million litres per day (9 million gallons per day). The saving was achieved by carrying out pressure management and leak repair. The project is now in a 12-month maintenance period.
“We are extremely pleased with the level of savings that have been achieved and we are confident of sustaining those savings beyond the implementation period,” stated Guido Wiesenreiter, Director of WSO PNG. “The training of local personnel, including those seconded from Eda Ranu, that took place during the project covered all aspects of ongoing non-revenue water reduction activities and will prove to be a key component in the long-term success of the project.”
